From 2016 to 2023, ComiXpo was home to one of Australia’s most exciting science fiction and fantasy collectable pop culture fairs. Over those eight years, these 11 events showcased some of the greatest pop culture names in comics, movies, television, animation, and gaming. ComiXpo highlighted the best in collectables, merchandise, gaming, and memorabilia from the industry and the fans. We presented amazing costumes, props, art, impressive fan-based cosplay and innovative customer interactions. ComiXpo was created by fans for fans. Entry to all our shows was only $5 per person, with free entry to all cosplayers and children aged 12 and under.
The organisers of ComiXpo shared the same passion for sci-fi and fantasy pop culture as you did, and we were keen to keep it old school – so there would be no expensive stall hire, no hiked-up entry fees, and no second-rate celebrity signings. Our pricing was retro, and the bargains were everywhere. Our final ComiXpo was on Sunday, 5th March 2023, at The Whitehorse Club in Burwood East. Along with your favourite stallholders, cosplay fashion parades, plenty of food and drink and a few extra surprises, general admission was only $5 per person. You could have bought tickets at the door or online with our $20 early bird admission. We offered free admission for all cosplayers and kids aged 12 and under. We thank all our stallholders, cosplayers and patrons for coming along with us on this fantastic 11-event journey. But while the show may be over, ComiXpo’s online story has just begun…
