Story 1: When Lands the Saucer! – (40-page Silver Surfer story) – When a strange craft from outer space approaches Earth, the Silver Surfer thinks that he has found a kindred spirit; however, what he has found are the Badoon, a race of intergalactic enslavers! Invisible to humanity, the Surfer fights against an unseen enemy, making him distrustful. But when the Surfer can escape Earth, will he take it, or will he give up this chance to save a single human life?

Story 2: The Coming of the Krills! – (10-page Tales of the Watcher story) – The Watcher tells a story he has seen in Earth’s history. An extraterrestrial special forces unit infiltrates a remote radar outpost in Canada. The aliens break into the outpost, taking the men prisoner. Their mission is to destroy Earth’s radar capabilities so their war fleet massed in the planet’s orbit can land and avoid humanity’s atomic weapons. Note: The Tales of the Watcher story is a retelling of The Coming of the Krills by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in Amazing Adult Fantasy #8 (January 1962).

  • Grading notes: The pages are slightly yellowed. The spine is intact, not rolled, and there is some damage to the top and bottom. There are no loose pages, and the staples are good. The cover has one indentation on the bottom of the Surfer’s board and four or five other minor dents, but there is no ink or stamps anywhere (the indentations do not show up very well in the photos).
